Weather
Despite its northerly situation, the weather in Denmark is not extreme, although
its maritime situation and the influence of the Gulf Air Stream does make the climate
unstable. The average temperature for June is just below 20° C, but it can be
really nice and warm with temperatures up to 30° C. Check here for current weather

Welcome reception
The welcome reception is held at the ARoS art museum on Wednesday 27, 19.30-21.
The city hall of Aarhus will be hosting the reception, and a light snack and wine
will be served.
Recently, the Danish/Icelandic artist, Olafur Eliasson's spectacular artwork - Your
rainbow panorama - was installed on the roof of ARoS. During the reception, thanks
to the city hall, participants will have access to both the museum and the rainbow
(www.aros.dk).
What to see and do in Aarhus
In your congress bag, you will find a mini guide of Aarhus with useful information
about things to see and do. But we recommend one five-star attraction “The Old Town”.
The Old Town The Old Town is an open-air museum with half-timbered houses from all
over Denmark – taken down and re-built and re-constructed. It is Denmark’s National
Museum of Urban History, the biggest museum in Jutland with unique collections of
toys, silver, china, clothes, clocks and watches; with streets and yards, workshops
and shops reflecting life from 1600 up to our great-grandparents’ days. It is a
living and breathing experience of what it was like to live and work in a Danish
market town, as it was in the old days. Meet the people and characters of yesteryear,
experience life as it was in their living rooms and kitchens; and smell the flowers
right in their own gardens. Try out old children’s games, or why not go on an exploration
throughout the museums extensive exhibitions?
Wifi
Wifi is available on the main venue, The Lakeside Lecture Theatres. Login information can be found on the message board in the reception area.
